Paul A. Vanderwel
After selling his business, Ophthalmic Instruments & Consulting LLC. to Advancing Eye Care in 2019, Paul recently took on the role of NW Regional Sales Manager for Lombart Instrument Core Products and Refraction Technologies. Paul has been serving the ophthalmic community for more than 30 years and is an expert in the field of ophthalmic instrumentation, consulting, and implementation. He is experienced in digital refraction, imaging, OCT, and exam room efficiency, specific to layout and design. Paul is a factory trained and certified technician for some of the nation’s leading tier one OEM ophthalmic manufactures, and is the Topcon and Marco Technologies partner for the greater Northwest, providing the latest refraction technology available.
Paul and his team are responsible for the technical training, installation, calibration, and maintenance of over a thousand systems within the greater Northwest region. They are continually setting the industry standard for quality care, provider services, and best practices, many of which are raising the bar for how Lombart Instruments operates today.
Paul has also added practice appraisals and consulting to his portfolio of services, which have helped many legacy practices transition their lines of business to the next generation of optometrists.
When Paul isn’t working, he enjoys flying, riding his Harley through the backroads of Washington, brewing beer, and spending time in the sun with family and friends.
