Scott Milburn
Scott Milburn is both an attorney and entrepreneur who provides a wide range of legal services for buyers, sellers, and owners of optometric practices. These include preparing legal documents for a purchase/sale or other needs that are actually in English, reviewing leases, assisting with relocation or expansion of practices, and providing guidance on employment issues. His law partners have extensive experience in a variety of other legal subjects, and he can draw on their capabilities as needed.
Scott began his career at the U.S. Justice Department, where he was hired under the Attorney Generals Honors Program and was honored to receive the 1984 Tax Division Outstanding Attorney Award. Scott spent the following three years as a law associate with Karr Tuttle Campbell in his new-found home of Seattle. He was then invited to become a partner in K&L Gates, where he remained for 10 years, focusing on commercial litigation.
In 1998, Scott shifted his focus from practicing law full time to the entrepreneurial business community. He has since worked in senior executive positions and as part-time management for startup and growth-oriented technology companies throughout the Puget Sound region and Hawaii. Scott’s organizational contributions have included strategic planning, operations management, business development, legal affairs, sales, marketing, finance, and business manager for a company’s India operations.
